It’s safe to say since the launch of Fortnite back in 2017 it’s taken the world by storm and changed the lives of many people. It was truly one of a kind and the first to add a building mechanic with the ability to edit which sets the skill cap ridiculously high.
We’ve seen a total of 16 seasons and we ranked the top and bottom 5. Please note this is our opinion and if you disagree we’d love to hear your list.
Bottom 5 Fortnite Seasons
16 – Season X
So many people complained about Season X it just had to be at the bottom. The cosmetics were simply upgrades from the previous season skins and there were so many changes. So many it actually felt like a different game but for all the wrong reasons.
The best thing about this season was the black hole ending which kind of says it all.
15 – Season 9
The two main problems with this season are probably the worst two problems you can have… bugs and overpowered weapons. The bugs were eventually fixed but the mere thought of a combat shotgun still infuriates us.
14 – Season 7
Epic Games brought some festive content to the battle royale with the Boom Box, Ice King and planes. However, in competitive play, the Infinity Blade was not well received due to its sheer overpowered nature easily taking down players and structures.
13 – Chapter 2 Season 1
The first season of chapter two was in dire need of a change, something to help spice things up again. Fishing, boats and a new map were added but, it all just seemed fairly basic and went on for way too long with fairly few updates. This sadly caused many people to walk away from the game.
12 – Season 6
An abundance of new gameplay content such as the balloons, Quad Crashers and the Six Shooter. As a common weapon, the Six Shooter was underwhelming, to say the least. The game still needed a lot of work and we feel this just added more problems rather than fixing them.
Top 5 Seasons
5 – Chapter 2 Season 5
The superheroes didn’t sit well with the entire player base which is why the theme of hunters was introduced for this season. Minor map changes and the addition of Mandalorian, Baby Yoda and enlightened skins was a much-welcomed change to the season and saw players coming back for more.
4 – Season 1
Fortnite launched back in September 2017 and didn’t include any seasons or battle passes at this time. We picked this based on nostalgic feelings, it was the first of its kind something completely different and free to play. However, if the game was like this now we know there would be uproar throughout the community.
3 – Chapter 2 Season 4
The Marvel collaboration, and even if you thought it was a little overdone you have to admit it was fun to play. New locations, weapons and the brewing Nexus war pinning all hopes on the superheroes to stop the world from being destroyed by the behemoth Galactus.
2 – Season 2
This season saw the introduction of the battle pass and reached the peak of its popularity with massive streamers like Ninja and Summit popularising the game further. The campfire, minigun, chug jug and impulse grenades were introduced this season which we believe helped to take Fortnite to the next level.
1 – Season 4
The peak of Fortnite, their first live event which surprisingly went so smooth, there are normally at least two bumps in the road for live events. This season saw the addition of jet packs, thermal ARs and shopping carts which helped to put Fornite in a whole different league to any game present at the time.
