The Fortnite Cosmic Summer Celebration Live Event has been announced by Epic Games.
Towards the end of Fortnite chapter 2 season 4, you may have noticed players being abducted by aliens. This as well as posters that we found throughout the map all teasing an alien-themed event.
During the v17 Fornite update, data miners discovered files for upcoming skins, weapons, challenges, and map changes that should be landing in the game within the coming fortnight.
Infamous data miner Hypex also uncovered some info regarding a Fortnite season 7 event in fitting with the current season alien theme.
If you look closely you can see there is some kind of party happening, it may be to welcome the aliens or just a coincidence but this leads us to believe there will be some sort of ‘Welcome Party’ event on the horizon.
Fortnite’s Cosmic Summer Celebration Event
We are yet to discover what exactly will happen in this event but we’re guessing it will be something similar to the summer event we had a couple of seasons ago where players complete challenges to unlock free cosmetics.
We are also expecting to see summer-themed skins in the shop along with new LTMs old and new. We believe there will also be free cosmetics and potentially a live performance from a music artist as suggested by data miners.
When Is The Fortnite Event?
It will be taking place tomorrow (22nd June) and begins at 14:00 BST. The event will more than likely have challenges that last a couple of weeks.
The location is at Beaver Beach a new location that replaced Sweaty Sands at the start of chapter 2 season 7.
