If you weren’t aware of Sony’s “Play At Home” initiative they are giving PlayStation owners the chance to redeem certain games for free with and you don’t even need PlayStation Plus!
For this month only PlayStation owners can download a free digital copy of Ratchet and Clank up until 31st March 11pm PT / 7am GMT.
The original Ratchet and Clank made by Insomniac Games was released on PlayStation 2 back in 2002 and was remade for the PS4 in 2016. This game has been available for PS5 users who have a PlayStation Plus account but now, you don’t need a PS4 or a PS Plus account. This version is yours to keep and perhaps a smart move given that the new Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is set to release on 11th June for PS5.
Sony said: “Hello again! The past 12 months haven’t been easy. And I think we’re all hopeful that we may be starting to see some flickers of light at the end of this long COVID-19 tunnel thanks to the tireless work of the medical community and people around the world.
“In these historic times, the team at PlayStation wanted to thank the community by giving something back.
“Last April, we launched the Play At Home initiative, offering up two incredible PlayStation games for free: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey. I like to think they helped make the year just a little bit easier.
“This year, we wanted to go further. So we’ve designed a series of free games and entertainment offers for our PlayStation community to make the next few months a little more fun and enjoyable.”
