Four months ago Activision left Modern Warfare behind to focus on Black Ops Cold War and Warzone and this morning, they went and dropped new maps for MW.
After downloading the monstrous mid-season two update, Modern Warfare fans were excited to see the old-school Killhouse map from the original Modern Warfare (COD 4) alongside a new Killhouse 24/7 playlist.
The Killhouse map was actually spotted in Infinity Ward’s files by data miners back in February 2020 and it’s now finally made into the game.
Eagle-eyed fans also spotted two other maps Drainage (Gunfight) and Al-Raab Airbase (6v6) added to the MW rotation.
A new Multiplayer map quietly went live in #ModernWarfare following tonight's update!

Unlike pretty much every other update/map release there were zero announcements from both Infinity Ward or Activision. Sometimes, it’s nice to be surprised with little additions here and there. It’s also good to see that Modern Warfare hasn’t been completely forgotten about as well.
Modern Warfare produced by Infinity Ward launched back on 25th October 2019 since then it’s seen the launch of wildly popular Warzone, the free-to-play battle royale, Ravens and Treyarch’s Black Ops Cold War, and six seasons of new content plus battle passes.
We along with other COD fans were hoping to see the return of John “Soap” MacTavish as a new operator but sadly nothing has been seen as of yet. However, our hopes stay high for Warzone’s up-coming nuke event.
