Akira Yamaoka may have answered horror fanatics dreams when he teased a new project in an interview which was immediately taken down. Straight away our minds are wishing for the long-awaited return of Silent Hill which has been rumoured for quite some time now. While Konami insists it this potential slip up has nothing to do with the interview being taken down we feel they could be telling porkies.
YouTube channel Al Hub was interviewing Yamaoka to discuss his contribution to Blooper Team’s The Medium. When asked what the immediate future holds for the composer he responded that his latest project would be announced this Summer adding “I think it’s the one you’re kind of hoping to hear about”, so it has to be Silent Hill right? After all, we’ve been hoping to hear about it for a LONG time!
Al Hub, the YouTube channel posted a statement on Twitter stating, “We were asked to remove the clip, and it has been removed. We apologize”. But with no mention as to why it was removed…

As you’d imagine the eagerly awaiting Silent Hill fans were reaching out to Konami asking why the interview was taken down. A spokesperson told VideoGamer that “Konami did not ask Al Hub to take the interview down” Hmmm okay, so who did? We can’t imagine Al Hub did it because they wanted to, very suspicious!
Do you think it’s a new Silent Hill? Or something completely new? Let us know in the comments!
