Halo Infinite free-to-play multiplayer will be launching at the same time as the single-player campaign. This was confirmed by 343 Industries on Sunday’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase.
The two-minute multiplayer hype reel showed fans what they can expect if they want to take a break from exploring Halo’s latest campaign chapter. The classic vehicles; Warthogs, Pelicans, Ghosts and others were showcased accompanying the iconic red vs blue action players have enjoyed over the past two decades.
Halo Infinite’s free-to-play multiplayer was announced last July at the Xbox Games Showcase which you may have forgotten about as not much else has been said about the game since.
In April Microsoft confirmed that Halo Infinite will be launching the Windows PC version alongside the console version which is a first for the series. The multiplayer will also be cross-platform play and progression, another first time for the series.
Originally the expected launch date was with the Xbox Series X in November 2020 but as of yet Halo Infinite still doesn’t have an official launch date. According to the multiplayer trailer above, we can expect it to release in the 2021 holidays, we have our fingers crossed for the early holiday season!
