If you have a PS4 or PS5 you can play COD Breakout mode NOW if you follow these certain steps. We haven’t tested on Xbox so feel free to try!

Along with Breakout, we found that Black Ops Cold War Season 2 is also available to download a whole day ahead of the official release. However, content related to the new season isn’t actually live yet.
There are a few steps you need to take to be able to access Breakout mode which are detailed both in the video and text below.
- Start PlayStation
- Download Season 2 update
- Put it in offline mode/disconnect from the internet
- Start Cold War
- Go to zombies
- Custom game
- Outbreak will be available
It does make sense that you need to be offline when playing this ‘unreleased’ mode which means you can’t play with friends. But, you do get to try it out so you know exactly what to expect when it’s officially launched. Will you be trying out the new COD Breakout mode?
