A Fortnite leak shared recently by profound data miner HypeX could be game-changing. Last month he shared that “rideable wildlife” was coming to the Battle Royale either during Season 7 or 8. So far this is yet to happen but there is still time for these changes to be implemented.
At the time, HypeX detailed that rideable wildlife was added to the game files along with a new class and that they’re still in very early development suggesting a Season 7 launch is very unlikely.
This alone would be pretty game-changing but what about flying mounts? Last week HypeX posted to Twitter revealing that Epic Games are working on a new animal codenamed Avian, which, to us implies it will be able to fly.
“Epic are working on a new wildlife animal codenamed ‘Avian,’ from the codename of it it will probably be the first flying animal in Fortnite,” said HypeX. “Remember, that is NOT his name it’s just the codename!”

If you combine the two leaks then all signs point towards flying mounts but it’s unclear if either of these will make it to the game let alone both. So please take this as what it is, a leak, yes it’s exciting but it might not happen so don’t hold your breath.
Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices as a free-to-play game.
