A new leak from Call of Duty Vanguard could suggest that an iconic killstreak from Modern Warfare 2 will be flying over Warzone.
Although details of Call of Duty’s anticipated release of Vanguard are still unknown, it is thought to be a return to the World War 2 era, from 1939 – 1945, meaning we are likely to see the return of some vintage firepower. Much like we saw in the release of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, the reveal is expected to appear in Call of Duty Warzone through in-game events and hints.
Shortly before Black Ops Cold War was unveiled in November 2020, Warzone fans witnessed multiple in-game events including the reveal trailer’s cinematics and other story clips throughout the game. Now, as Vanguard approaches release, Warzone fans are on the lookout for in-game clues to see what could be in store.
We haven’t yet had an official release from Activision but, we have received leaks from within the community hinting at possible content. Alaix COD is a well-known Call of Duty leaker, and recently revealed an interesting audio clip which some say suggests we could see the return of an iconic MW2 killstreak… the deadly, and much feared, AC-130.

Nicked named “Hell in the Sky”, an AC-130 is a heavily armed, ground-attack gunship. In MW2, the AC-130 killstreak was famed for raining down fire with its 25mm Gatling gun, 40mm cannon, and it’s 105mm howitzer artillery.
However, the problem is the timelines don’t match. AC-130’s didn’t exist during the second world war. Meaning, with the expectation being that Vanguard is to be a World War 2 game, leads to further speculation as to what Alaix COD’s leak really means.
Many fans in the comments are suggesting we could be seeing the return of the AC-130 killstreak in Warzone or another Call of Duty game that matches the timeline.
Could it be Warzone? Or could it be Black Ops Cold War? Whichever it is, be sure to look for your next piece of cover if you hear “ENEMY AC-130 ABOVE!!!”
