First of all, if you aren’t 100% clear on what “Sandbox Mode” is, it’s essentially a mode that gives the player creative freedom to change a virtual world or roam at will. There are no specific progress but challenges can be created in the forms of time-trials, races, high-scores etc.
The infamous ZestyCODLeaks found a bunch of leaked narration files that suggest a casual sandbox mode could be in Warzone’s road map.
One of the announcer’s lines is “The area of operation is vast. Explore the activities,” which leads us to believe there will be an array of different modes and there are also safe zones where players will not be able to use their weapons.
The complete list of potential Warzone sandbox modes include:
– Time trials
– Vehicle races
– Floor-is-lava type parkour
– Shooting course
– Competitive control point with multiple teams
– Helicopter activity
– Obstacle courses
Assuming this is all true the casual mode will be a very welcomed addition to Warzone’s ever-changing playlists. Whether the idea comes from Fortnite’s creative mode which has amassed quite the community of its own. Warzone’s version doesn’t seem to be as prolific but, that’s not to say it won’t become huge in the future. There just isn’t as many options as Fortnite in regards to bounce pads, grapple guns, impact grenade and more.
The above Warzone sandbox modes do remind us of the ‘Games of Summer’ event last year which included pistol courses, parkour trial and the extremely addictive sniper trial, some of which we hope to see again!
Some of the other audio files include: “race concluding soon.” “checkpoint reached,” “a vehicle is required for this event,” “you need a helicopter to participate in this event,” “outgoing lethal fire disabled in safe area,” and “starting timer,”.
