Are you looking to try out Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War but don’t want to fork out for the full game? You’re in luck, the next Cold War Free Access Weekend is here! COD Cold War has grown a lot with its post-launch seasons as the introduction of free content has helped to moisten the game’s content drought.
This marks their fourth Free Access period the first was in January which allowed players to access the original zombie map Die Maschine and lasted an entire week. The next came February but focused on multiplayer and Outbreak giving players a good taste of both zombies and multiplayer action the third came in April and offered a similar blend of content.
Charlie Intel revealed the next Free Access weekend for COD Cold War will start this Thursday and run from 27th May to 1st June. During this five-day access, gamers will be able to play a mix of multiplayer and Zombies content. Much like other trial periods players will keep their progression for rank, unlocks etc. (this is yet to be officially confirmed)

This time it seems multiplayer will be no holds barred as everything will be accessible to players including 12v12, newly added Standoff remake, all weapons and the popular Die Hardpoint playlist.
The same can’t be said for Zombies as access to the survival maps Die Maschine and Firebase Z will be restricted. However, Outbreak will be free to play so you have the chance to experience Zombies but on a much larger scale.
So if you and some friends are looking to kill some time this weekend give COD Cold War a download and jump into multiplayer or try to beat Outbreak’s Easter Egg.
