battlefield battle royale

Reports suggest Battlefield 6 will have a free-to-play battle royale mode which is likely inspired by Call of Duty: Warzone. Activision believes their battle royale mode hasn’t just evolved the series but also changed the way they look at the franchise as a whole. Not much has been said about the battle royale mode yet but renowned industry leaker Tom Henderson seems confident in its potential.

We aren’t sure whether the battle royale mode will be available at launch or come later down the line similar to Warzone which landed a few months after Modern Warfare. If EA and DICE want to compete with other popular battle royales, they need to make it available at launch but, we aren’t sure how easy that would be to achieve.

When we published this article there has been no word from EA or DICE about the game having a battle royale mode. We know a big reveal is on the horizon so we think this could be when the BR mode is announced. Please note anything said in the article is based on leaks alone and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Battlefield 6 is set to release sometime over the holiday season and is expected to be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and perhaps PS4 and Xbox One.
