According to Electronic Arts, DICE are “way ahead” of schedule and are planning a Battlefield 6 teaser to reveal everything this spring.
So one of the biggest questions we’ve been waiting to hear the answer to is “what era will it be based?” EA CEO Andrew Wilson said, “Our next Battlefield will mark a return to all-out military warfare.” Which leads up to believe it will be back in the modern era.
A few other key parts of EA’s third-quarter earnings call are:
“The game takes full advantage of the power of next-generation platforms to bring massive immersive battles to life with more players than ever before.”
“The team is focused and the game is ahead of our internal milestones,” Wilson added. “We will reveal the game in the spring and deliver a defining Battlefield experience for our players in holiday 2021.”
“Featuring maps with unprecedented scale, the next edition of Battlefield takes all the destruction, player agency, vehicle and weapon combat that the franchise is known for and elevates it to another level.”
Maps of unprecedented scale, Viral Junkie CEO Tom Henderson stated that “maps have been designed with 128+ players in mind.” However, 32 vs 32 will remain to be standard.
Along with this he also revealed that Battlefield 6 will be like Battlefield 3 after responding to a tweet praising BF3.

Due to the popularity of Warzone, not many fans have been asking for a battle royal mode to be added. However, they may be planning a Free 2 Play experience for those interested in buying the game.
