Apex Legends is one of the most popular free-to-play battle royales out there ever since its launch in 2019. It also won the Best Multiplayer Game at the BAFTA Gaming Awards in 2020.
Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts (EA), the game is available to player onto most platforms including, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation. In the next 12 months, we can also expect an Apex Legends iOS and Android app.
With Season 8 coming to an end players are wondering what Season 9 has in-store. So, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming changes/additions in Season 9:
Map Changes
We know Respawn are not afraid to make big changes to maps as we have witnessed with World’s Edge and Kings Canyon. Now it seems that Olympus is next in the firing line.
Whilst we don’t know exactly what changes to expect Respawn shared the following: “An infestation has sprung loose, strangling the city with roots and natural growths.”
To us, this suggests that landmarks could be overrun with greenery, plants and vegetation. There could also be cool creative ways to navigate the map using the ‘infestation’.
